What is Rotary?
Rotarians are neighbours, community leaders, and global citizens uniting for the common good. With you, we can accomplish even more.
Becoming a Rotarian connects you with a diverse group of professionals who share your drive to give back. Over a meal or coffee, or even online, you'll:
  • Discuss your community's needs and discover creative ways to meet them
  • Expand your leadership and professional skills
  • Catch up with good friends and meet new ones
Clubs accept new members by invitation, so we recommend you first reach out to a club in your area to learn more. It's not only a good way to get to know us—it's also a great way to get involved in your community.
Like most Rotary Clubs our club is an Incorporated Association with a constitution approved by Rotary International. The Club has a set of bylaws and is run by a Board of Directors. Every member is encouraged to serve on the board and take part in running the club. Elections for Board positions are held annually. Training for Presidents is provided by the Rotary District and Presidents also have an opportunity to meet and work with presidents from other local clubs at PETS (President Elect Training Seminar) and through a cluster, supported by an Assistant Govenor. Our Club is part of Rotary District 9640 and take part in various District projects and events, including the District conference.

Rotary Four Way Test

Rotarians worldwide are inspired by the Rotary theme of “Service Above Self” and are guided by reference to ‘The Four-Way Test’. In particular, ‘The Four-Way Test’ challenges Rotarians, in everything they do, to ask of themselves:
“Of the things we think say or do:
  1. Is it the TRUTH?
  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?"
