Rotary Club of Nerang

The Rotary Club of Nerang was chartered in 1975. The Club serves the Nerang, Highland Park, Carrara and Gaven areas. Membership includes men and women with a variety of vocational backgrounds.

 

Rotary is an organization of business and professional leaders, united worldwide, who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.

 

On a local level Rotarians identify a variety of community projects each year which may involve physical and/or financial contributions. Some of these projects are developed by Rotarians themselves, others support the work of other not-for-profit groups seeking to improve our community.

 

Internationally the Rotary Club of Nerang directs financial and practical support to the Rotary Club of Nadi, Fiji. The Club's have a Sister Club agreement and members of our Club are in regular contact with members of Nadi and support projects of that Club to provide assistance to village schools and health facilities. The Rotary Club of Nerang contributes each year to the work of The Rotary Foundation, including Rotary's significant effort in partnership with the UN and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to work towards the eradication of Polio.

 

Members have opportunities to connect with other Rotarians through Club networks, at District Conferences and International Conventions. Rotary promotes these opportunities to every member ensuring club's extend warm welcomes to visiting Rotarians at any Club meeting, anywhere in the world.
